Installing Nuheat Floor Mats

Nuheat Radiant Floor Heating Mats are easy to install and take much less time to put down than other floor heating systems.  Installing Nuheat floor mats is simple – just adhere to the sub-floor using thinset and the flooring can then be immediately installed over top.

  • Roll Nuheat Mat onto thinset
  • Work mat into thinset using float or gloves, ensuring 100% adhesion
  • Trowel thinset and apply tile
  • Test ohms reading again
  • Do not clean grout joints with knife or razor, as it can damage the mat

Tile and stone can be installed right on top of the mat using another layer of thinset.

  • After that dries, the laminate can be installed directly according to manufacturer’s instructions.
  • Many laminate manufacturers limit the temperature of underfloor heating under their products in order to validate the warranty.  All the thermostats we sell have a laminate setting which will do this for you.
